Services Fee Schedule
Professional Rates
- Appraiser / Umpire Services $250 per hour
This rate includes pre-Hearing, Hearing, post-Hearing, and travel time. The cost of Umpire services is split equally between the insured and insurer.
- Fast-Track Appraisal 20% of Dispute Amount
Advance payment, by both parties, of 20% of the difference between the offer and the demand (not on the total claim). Only 20% is ultimately retained by CDR, and each party receives a pro-rata reimbursement based on the relationship between their claim or offer and CDR’s Award.
- Expert Witness $250 per hour
CDR bills for Expert and Witness testimony, including preparation, travel time, depositions, and pre- and post- trial conferences.
- Clerical Services $75 per hour
Clerical charges are applied to extraordinary claim file projects including documentation duplication, research, collection efforts, etc.
- Contents Inventory Specialist $100 per hour
The Contents Inventory Specialist fee includes on-site inventory, preparation and take down, research/pricing, and travel time.
- Extra Expenses/Mileage Actual Cost
Extra Expenses include: hotel, ferry/air fare, meals, conference room, parking, photo copying, etc. Mileage will be billed at current year’s rate. (2007 = $.485 per mile)
- Public Adjuster 12% Contingency Fee
Public Adjusting services are available on a contingency basis for those claims wherein an insured requires professional assistance and/or technical expertise in presenting their claim.
- Administrative Fee $1,000 flat fee
The Administrative Fee is per party and is due at the time of case referral; however, CDR may (at their discretion) bill all fees at the conclusion of the Appraisal process. This one-time fee includes file set-up and review, analysis, and organization of all available claim documentation.
- Claim Submission Fee $100 flat fee
This is a preliminary charge wherein CDR determines if there is enough information and adequate justification to move forward on the claim and which services we recommend to bring your claim to a satisfactory conclusion.
Cancellation Policy
If you notify our CDR offices of Appraisal cancellation, the canceling party or parties will be responsible for all Administrative Fees and charges for Hearing preparation already performed by CDR and their representatives. If there is a claim settlement prior to the Appraisal Hearing, all fees will be billed in accordance to their agreement with CDR.
